Copyright and takedowns

Uploaded books are never public. Only AI-written study material is shown, and it is checked to make sure it doesn’t copy the source: any run of 40 or more words matching the source is rewritten.

How to send a notice

Use “Report a problem” on the shelf and choose “Copyright concern”, or email copyright@thelearninglibrary.org with:

  1. The work you own and the shelf’s link.
  2. Your contact details.
  3. A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized, and that the notice is accurate, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for them.
  4. Your physical or electronic signature.

On a valid notice we remove the shelf from public view within 48 hours and delete the uploaded file and its extracted text.
